We are here to inspire,empower and celebrate moms all across the world. To encourage you to be the best that you can be, by giving back to yourself and staying true. I know how hectic life can be and as moms we are constantly multi-tasking and running ourselves to the ground. Well this is a place where you can let your hair down, have some fun , pamper yourself and be a little self indulgent. This is a guilt free haven where you can get real and ask questions, leave comments and express yourself.

Ali Landry attends P.A. M. Event 2012 with her mom and daughter!

As we were standing on the Step and Repeat line up today, I over heard a beautiful woman say to her business partner, “If I had to choose between a dog or a cat or Ali Landry as my reincarnated self , hands down, I choose Ali Landry!” Inside I was smiling from ear to ear, but in all honesty, this is truly how one feels when you are in Ali’s presence.
Knowing she carries the title of Miss USA 1996 and talking with her today, one would think she was still reigning and representing our proud country with every ounce of authentic sincerity and glowing warmth as I assume she possessed that evening on her Miss USA stage. Simply put, she is one of THE sweetest, most caring, genuine and attentive Momz I think we’ve met thus far!
With grace and effortless poise, she talked, shared and most impressively, connected with so many parents who came out to support P.A.M., I couldn’t help but feel alive and grateful to be a mom MYSELF!

Beyonce & Jay Z:

What's in a name? Apparently alot.

Well, this proves it - volchers come in all shapes and sizes don’t they???

Get this: Just four days after Blue Ivy was born, fashion designer Joseph Mbeh applied to trademark the already-famous newborn’s name — but was denied.

He was denied because Blue Ivy’s parents had the “where with all” to apply for their baby girl’s name to be trademarked days before.

Mbeh claimed that his New Jersey-based clothing and accessories company had intended to pitch Jay-Z and Beyonce a range of branded children’s clothing “in hopes that a business relationship could be formed to create Blue Ivy Carter NYC for them.”

According to the Washington Post:

Mbeh, who intended to produce children’s dresses, skirts, and underwear using the name, issued a groveling statement after his Jan. 25 smackdown from the feds. A big misunderstanding!: He planned to pitch the idea to Beyoncé and Jay-Z and never, ever, intended to poach any of their baby bucks.
Protective parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z responded by filing a submission of their own under Knowles’ BGK Trademark Holdings.

While a decision with the USPTO is still pending, the famous couple’s wishes will most likely be granted as even non-celeb parents are allowed to trademark their children’s names.

Wow, so not only do we as parents need to strive every day to protect our kids physically, mentally, spiritually…certain circles have now have to keep their wits about them and think commercially!

Angelina Jolie:

RED CARPET QUESTION: What was the hottest accessory on the red carpet this year?

No one can accuse THIS Momz In The Mix being a third "wheel!"

RED CARPET ANSWER: Angelina’s leg!!!

She knew what she was doing, right??? Well… according to sources close to her, the move (both of them) were totally unplanned.
Hmmm…
The close source claims:
Angie was vamping it up, no more, nothing less. There was no hidden meaning in what she was doing. The photographers went crazy for her on the red carpet and were screaming for her to ’show some leg’ and so she did.
It was totally unplanned for Angie to do it again when she was presenting, she was having fun, living in the moment, like she always does. She is absolutely oblivious to the controversy and attention the sexy pose has created.

WE LOVE IT!!! If anyone can pull this off…it’d be Angelina.We wouldn’t care if it was planned!! In fact, we were giving her kudos for it!! We thought it was really smart — a great way to amp that grand finale attention she and Brad always get on the red carpet!

Julia Roberts

If you think this 44-year-old, (Pretty Woman), and one of our favorite Mom In The Mix, would be willing to trade places with someone half her age now think again.
These days, the actress says,
“There’s the express elevator and there’s rehab. It’s so awful; nobody gets a fair trial-and-error period that everybody deserves and everybody needs.”

In her April issue of Vanity Fair, Roberts, who’s made an effort to shield her three children twins; Hazel and Finn (7) and son; Henry (4), she shares the fact that her kids don’t actually understand that she’s, well Julia Roberts.

Case in point: When the star was out in public with her family recently. “Somebody said as we were walking past, ‘Oh, that’s Julia Roberts,’” she recalls. “We all just kind of kept going, and then Finn said, ‘Yeah, my mom’s Julia Robinson.’ That’s what gives you perspective. It could be Robinson, it could be Johnson, because it has nothing to do with me as a person.”
Still, there are times when Roberts clearly worries about the ramifications that come with her kids — who she’s raising with cameraman husband Danny Moder — growing up as the children of a celebrity. Roberts even recalls talking to one Meryl Streep’s daughters, 25-year-old Grace Gummer, about growing up in the same situation, which turned out to be a rather comforting conversation.
“I asked, ‘Were you happy?’ Suddenly, I thought, here is a source of information. I said, ‘How old were you when you realized your mom was Meryl Streep?’” Roberts recalls. “She said, ‘I think I was probably nine when I put that all together.’ I said, ‘Were you cool with it?’ She said, ‘Yeah, it was fine. There was no trauma.’ So that was hopeful.”

The Academy Award winner may be one of the most famous film actresses in the world, but it sounds like she’s more excited about getting back to the stage than the screen.
“It’s like childbirth: you don’t know until you’ve done it, but you get a little bit away from it and you go, ‘Of course, I want to do that again,” Roberts explain. “You get sucked back into doing theater, because it’s really thrilling.”

OUR DAY WITH DAYS OF OUR LIVES

MITM was invited down to the set of DAYS OF OUR LIVES for their first Meet & Greet with working Soap MOMZ and DADZ!

We arrived and were greeted immediately in the lobby and escorted to a larger room where 4 other Mom Bloggers and Sony’s lovely PR Rep were waiting. As introductions were made, MITM met fireball Loraine Bobbit; (yes you read correctly), self proclaimed DAYS Expert & most FANACTIC FAN ALIVE since 1984!

As she spontaneously gave our Mommy group DAYS trivia, facts and storyline secrets the minute our guided tour of Studio 3 & 4 began, (location of shooting DAYS for the last 15 years,) Angelyna & I made a quick mental note-she was hard core and we LOVED her!!

DAYS FACTS:
At any one given time, a crew of 150-200 members are working hard to give us our daily fix of Bo and Hope’s family “secret”, Sami’s profound grief stricken choice/loyalty issues, Lucas assisting Will with his life changing choices, (YES Luscas is BACK starting February 29th) and Jack and Jennifer’s ongoing roller coaster ride called marriage.
Simply put, Soap DRAMA…the addiction we all usually try to hide and deny.
EXCEPT for Loraine…and that’s WHY we loved her!!! She embraced it, wore it like an well earned cloak of Accomplishment. Our proud peacock.

As we were led into another corridor lined with framed photos of the entire DAYS cast on their historical anniversaries, IT happened.
Loraine Bobbit grabbed her throat and let out a moan only a die hard Soap Fan can. Right in front of us was none other than GORGEOUS Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Without hesitation, our fireball stepped right up to Brady and requested a photo. Not any photo though, when Angelyna was in position to snap this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, she INSTRUCTED Eric “Look at me-look deep in my eyes!” AHHHHH! YOU GO GIRL!!! Truly, this went down as one of MITM’s All Time Favorite On Location Moments!!
Without blinking an eye, Eric seamlessly replied, “Its a good thing I like redheads!”

Days of Our Lives and Momz In The Mix...what could be better??

After photos were taken, the interview portion of our Day With Days began. Here’s what we learned:

Arianne Zucker; (NICOLE WALKER), not only is a very committed MOMZ in the MIX and talented working Soap actress, she also is a Mompreneur who started Life Change. Along side Jason Cook (GENERAL HOSPITAL), together they took her idea and founded this organization which is dedicated to empowering others, especially young people, to better their lives through mentoring and career placement. Sarah Brown; (MADISON JAMES), is a very hard working and very honest single mom of beautiful Jordan-the light of her life! “Addressing issues as a single mom in Hollywood has the same hardships as in any MOMZ life. I just take them one day at a time and remember to breathe…DEEP!”

Bryan Dittalo; (LUCAS HORTON), loves being a dad to his son Gabriel, (Gabriel’s mom being one of MITM’s FAVORITE MOMZ…Jessica DeNay; founder of Hot Moms Club). They’ve found a beautiful way to co-parent together and keep Gabriel first in all decisions. This truly is great to hear as so many broken homes turn into war.

Get ready DAYS fans...Lucas is back starting February 29th!

All in all, we had a fantastic day! Thank you to all of the DAYS cast who shared stories from the sets and their hearts!

Puberty coming much sooner for young girls in America!

Puberty coming much sooner for girls in America…. I woke up this morning with my 8 year old daughter kicking me with her long legs, she feel asleep in my bed last night watching a movie. She still looks like a baby when she sleeps, and I love that. I was enjoying this tender moment when suddenly I thought to myself “I wonder when she will start her period? GOD please don’t let her start too early.” Her little body is already changing with tiny baby hairs, faint body order and every month she gets extremely emotional. My little girl still plays with baby dolls, believes in Santa Claus and plays dress up. She is a girly girl and I know this will serve her well when she grows up, however right now she is experiencing the onset of puberty.

What will I say to her, exactly what words will come out, should I memorize a script? I was suddenly so confused and this immediately started all this internal dialogue, I wasn’t even out of bed yet and it was already a Manic Monday. I got up drove her to her tutoring class and I came home to check emails and BOOM !! Yahoo had an article out on this very subject, I couldn’t believe it.
