Don't look now BUT...we're sitting in Brady's Pub!

MITM was invited down to the set of DAYS OF OUR LIVES for their first Meet & Greet with working Soap MOMZ and DADZ!

We arrived and were greeted immediately in the lobby and escorted to a larger room where 4 other Mom Bloggers and Sony’s lovely PR Rep were waiting. As introductions were made, MITM met fireball Loraine Bobbit; (yes you read correctly), self proclaimed DAYS Expert & most FANACTIC FAN ALIVE since 1984!

As she spontaneously gave our Mommy group DAYS trivia, facts and storyline secrets the minute our guided tour of Studio 3 & 4 began, (location of shooting DAYS for the last 15 years,) Angelyna & I made a quick mental note-she was hard core and we LOVED her!!

DAYS FACTS:
At any one given time, a crew of 150-200 members are working hard to give us our daily fix of Bo and Hope’s family “secret”, Sami’s profound grief stricken choice/loyalty issues, Lucas assisting Will with his life changing choices, (YES Luscas is BACK starting February 29th) and Jack and Jennifer’s ongoing roller coaster ride called marriage.
Simply put, Soap DRAMA…the addiction we all usually try to hide and deny.
EXCEPT for Loraine…and that’s WHY we loved her!!! She embraced it, wore it like an well earned cloak of Accomplishment. Our proud peacock.

As we were led into another corridor lined with framed photos of the entire DAYS cast on their historical anniversaries, IT happened.
Loraine Bobbit grabbed her throat and let out a moan only a die hard Soap Fan can. Right in front of us was none other than GORGEOUS Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Without hesitation, our fireball stepped right up to Brady and requested a photo. Not any photo though, when Angelyna was in position to snap this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, she INSTRUCTED Eric “Look at me-look deep in my eyes!” AHHHHH! YOU GO GIRL!!! Truly, this went down as one of MITM’s All Time Favorite On Location Moments!!
Without blinking an eye, Eric seamlessly replied, “Its a good thing I like redheads!”

Days of Our Lives and Momz In The Mix...what could be better??

After photos were taken, the interview portion of our Day With Days began. Here’s what we learned:

Arianne Zucker; (NICOLE WALKER), not only is a very committed MOMZ in the MIX and talented working Soap actress, she also is a Mompreneur who started Life Change. Along side Jason Cook (GENERAL HOSPITAL), together they took her idea and founded this organization which is dedicated to empowering others, especially young people, to better their lives through mentoring and career placement. Sarah Brown; (MADISON JAMES), is a very hard working and very honest single mom of beautiful Jordan-the light of her life! “Addressing issues as a single mom in Hollywood has the same hardships as in any MOMZ life. I just take them one day at a time and remember to breathe…DEEP!”

Bryan Dittalo; (LUCAS HORTON), loves being a dad to his son Gabriel, (Gabriel’s mom being one of MITM’s FAVORITE MOMZ…Jessica DeNay; founder of Hot Moms Club). They’ve found a beautiful way to co-parent together and keep Gabriel first in all decisions. This truly is great to hear as so many broken homes turn into war.

Get ready DAYS fans...Lucas is back starting February 29th!

All in all, we had a fantastic day! Thank you to all of the DAYS cast who shared stories from the sets and their hearts!

On VMA’s stage, Beyonce delivered more than just an incredible performance! With microphone thrown to the ground, feet positioned in a “I am Woman Hear Me Roar” stance, she unbuttoned her sequined tuxedo jacket, threw it open to reveal to the world….”I am MOMMY Hear Me Roar!”

Oh what a night!

After years of denying endless pregnancy rumors, Beyoncé finally has some good news to share.

The “Single Ladies” singer is pregnant.

Beyoncé held her belly as she arrived at the Video Music Awards Sunday wearing a long, red dress, quite the opposite of her normal midriff-baring stage costumes.
When addressing photographers on the red carpet, Beyoncé said, “I have a surprise!” People reported.

Beyoncé’s rep later confirmed the news to the magazine. “I’m happy to say it’s true,” the rep said, according to People.

Beyoncé also acknowledged that she was with child during her performance of “Love On Top.” During the intro of the song she said she wanted the audience to “feel the love that’s growing inside of me.” And after she finished singing the song, she dropped her microphone, popped open her purple sequined tuxedo jacket, poked out her stomach, then rubbed it and smiled. Onlookers, Jay-Z and Kanye jumped up and down in excitement!

We wish her all the health, happiness and love as she finds herself on an entirely new stage….Motherhood!

Jennifer Lopez is one of our favorite Momz In The Mix.

She is elegant, hard working, and of course fierce. But it was recently announced that she and her husband of seven years; Marc Anthony, are calling it quits.

Not to play Devil’s advocate however, we must pose the question is this a publicity stunt? We only ask this because it just so happens that the soon to be split couple also announced they’ll be collaborating with acclaimed director-choreographer Jamie King and American Idol creator and XIX Entertainment CEO and founder Simon Fuller to bring us Q’Viva The Chosen.

Lopez stated of Q’Viva: “This is a show for the 21st century with an unprecedented global and local story. The Latin culture is a tapestry that is rich in passion, tradition and artistry. We are going to places where all of this talent lives and wouldn’t have otherwise been discovered. This journey for me and Marc is going be exciting and groundbreaking.”

Fuller, who’ll serve as executive producer, comments that Q’Viva “Truly celebrates the beauty and splendor of Latin music and dance.” Adds King: “This is not about competition, it’s about finding great talent, cultivating that talent and sharing it with the world.

So upon further investigation, we learned preproduction for Q’Viva began back in April of 2011.

Ok, squashing the possible nasty thought of this being a publicity stunt, we now have to take a look at their beautiful and above all, innocent children as they are the ones to suffer. Jennifer stated this was the hardest decision she has ever had to make. One that broke her heart into a thousand pieces.

We genuinely feel sad and know from personal experience how Jennifer feels and yes, when small innocent hearts are involved it sends waves of damage throughout the entire family and out into their outer core of family members and friends. Grand parents, best friends, school mates etc…. are greatly effected and feel the damage of self centered choices. As Emme & Max (3) grow up, they will be shuffled back and forth between multiple houses. Their “new reality” decided for them without allowing them to have their own voice in the matter, obviously due to their young age.

So many children these days are placed in this horrible “new reality” which makes us recall a statement Chris Rock once said, “When you cheat on your wife, you cheat on your children…bottom line.” We couldn’t agree with him more.

Frankly, the news did come as a shock to most as there were no apparent signs of angst within the relationship.

Regardless of tabloid reports and constant speculation on Marc’s infidelity, we wish nothing but peace and integrity for Jennifer (42) and her beautiful twins  going forward. She is an incredible role modal and inspiration for women everywhere and of course she is and always will be one fierce Mom In The Mix.

As we all know, J.K. Rowling’s epic literary series; Harry Potter, came to an end with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on July 15, 2011.

But what’s even more intriguing however, is the fact the world has become enamored with the author and her personal story just as much as they did with her leading man- Harry. In fact, Lifetime Channel gave us an unauthorized special entitled Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story, and it touched on just that…HER story.

Poppy Montgomery played J. K. as the once struggling, single mom turned powerhouse author and visionary.

Albeit, Hollywood glossy short and to the point, we were presented with her life’s skeletal facts, especially her beginning. She was a single mom trying to provide for her very young daughter; baby Jessica. As the scenes unfolded, we witnessed her losing her young mother (Anne 45), to MS and a volatile, young marriage gone terribly wrong. Feeling as though she was losing her very breath of happiness to her own demons; her Dementors, she slowly fought her way out of a deep depression by regaining stability and emotional strength through her passion of pen to paper-LITERALLY. Written in longhand, on hundreds of pieces of paper ranging from cafe napkins to place mats, she began writing about a boy wizard. The rest, as we all know, is history.

Indeed so historical, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, (her incredible finale of 8 films), is the highest grossing film in history for its opening day bringing in over $91 million and for its opening weekend shattering box office numbers with over $169 million domestically and over $307 million internationally!

Gaining the title of being the world’s most renowned bestselling author and captivating both children and adults alike for well over a decade now, J.K. still shows no sign of slowing down. With a twinkle in her eye, she announced her new project to the world called Pottermore and promises it will be an interactive reading experience that will divulge even further into the magnificent world of Harry Potter.

Adding to her full plate, J. K. Rowling has donated part of her earnings to benefit a Multiple Sclerosis charity. She has donated £10 million ($15.4 million) to set up a research clinic in her mother’s name. Reportedly, Anne passed away due to complication resulting from MS at the age of 45. This personal experience as well as her desire to give back something to the city of Edinburgh prompted Rowling to start this research center. Besides conducting research and trying to unravel the mysteries of MS, the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic at Edinburgh University will also focus on other degenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and Motor Neurone Disease. This is the biggest donation given by the author till date and also the largest ever to be received by the university.

Remaining the Number One Question on everyone’s lips??
“Are you writing again?’

J. K. repeatedly admits, “Yes, indeed I am writing again. I have to write.”

An extraordinary woman - who happens to be an extraordinary mom!

Really Eddie Cibrian? You’re an idiot for leaving Brandi and LeAnn you’re an idiot for falling for a married man. You both have some serious Karma headed your way, but enough with the past.

Brandi has an additional job to add to her already hectic busy mom schedule. She is now a new cast member on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I am sure Brandi’s natural beauty and her wonderful personality will really stir things up on this 2nd season.

We have had the pleasure of meeting this amazing woman and mother - she is the real deal. She loves her boys and is a very devoted and hardworking mom.

I personally have never watched one episode of any of the Housewives shows, but I may have to catch one or two of  BH Housewives Season 2. Simply to support Brandi. Hell if she can handle the s*** her ex-husband dealt her, she can certainly get in the ring with those crazy rich bitches.

We spent a beautiful afternoon at the 2011 GBK MTV Movie Awards Luxury Lifestyle Lounge located at SLS Hotel in Hollywood. Did you know Chaka Kahn is also a very talented painter? Candace Cameron Bure’s (Full House) Summer Must Have is something we ALL should use…sun screen, AnnaLynne McCord (90210) feels her true self is with messy hair, no make up and building houses with St Bernard Project for Katrina survivors, Brandi Glanville (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) loves to cook for her two kids AND Steve-O (Jack Ass Series) would love to adopt!!! WOW! Who knew?!?!

Powerhouse MOM and author, J.K. Rowling has done it again!!
For those of you who are just as guilty of loving and needing her Potter “fix” as much as your kids do,
Pottermore will now provide yet another way to sit down and completely yourself in the world of Harry and Hogwarts.

J.K. stated it as being “A free website that builds an exciting online experience around the reading of the Harry Potter books.”
Pottermore officially launches in October, but beginning July 31, one million registered subscribers will be able to find out more details about entering the site early. Rowling also announced Thursday that the seven Harry Potter novels will be available exclusively on Pottermore as eBooks beginning in October.

“It is my view you can’t hold back progress,” she said of the decision to put them online.

“Ebooks are here and here to stay. Later than a lot of people, I for the first time downloaded ebooks and it’s miraculous for travel and for children in particular. I feel great about taking Harry into this new medium.”

(Rowling did squelch however, rumors that she’s working on an eight sequel.)
In fact she added, “I do have closure with Harry and I have no plans to write another novel. I’m pretty sure I’m done on the novel front…But it was fun while it lasted.”

Bottom line, she hopes the site will encourage more young fans to read her book so it was important for her to keep the reading element as the primary focus for her fans as they explore Pottermore.

Staying true to her immense commitment to her Potter Series phenomenon, (her Harry Potter books have sold more than 400 million copies worldwide), she was involved with every visual aspect on Pottermore.
