The James Bond producers are hoping for a repeat award-winning performance with singer Adele.
Just a week after winning the Oscar for her song; Skyfall, Adele was approached by the Bond team to write and perform the theme for the next, as yet untitled, James Bond film, the twenty-fourth in the series.
So far only Shirley Bassey has performed more than one of the iconic theme songs, who performed three.
Adele returned to England yesterday after her two-month-long stay in Los Angeles, during which she won a Golden Globe, Grammy and Oscar award.
In the airport this weekend the singer was seen carrying and protecting her greatest accomplishment of the last her, her infant son, who was hidden from the paparazzi under a thick blanket. Once home she tweeted a picture of her Oscar and a tiny statue for Best Son, with the message “…and we’re home! What an epic trip. Thanks for having us Hollywood!”
We’re sure we’ll see her in Hollywood again soon, perhaps picking up another golden statue for a second successful partnership with 007.
