Jennifer Lopez is one of our favorite Momz In The Mix.
She is elegant, hard working, and of course fierce. But it was recently announced that she and her husband of seven years; Marc Anthony, are calling it quits.
Not to play Devil’s advocate however, we must pose the question is this a publicity stunt? We only ask this because it just so happens that the soon to be split couple also announced they’ll be collaborating with acclaimed director-choreographer Jamie King and American Idol creator and XIX Entertainment CEO and founder Simon Fuller to bring us Q’Viva The Chosen.
Lopez stated of Q’Viva: “This is a show for the 21st century with an unprecedented global and local story. The Latin culture is a tapestry that is rich in passion, tradition and artistry. We are going to places where all of this talent lives and wouldn’t have otherwise been discovered. This journey for me and Marc is going be exciting and groundbreaking.”
Fuller, who’ll serve as executive producer, comments that Q’Viva “Truly celebrates the beauty and splendor of Latin music and dance.” Adds King: “This is not about competition, it’s about finding great talent, cultivating that talent and sharing it with the world.
So upon further investigation, we learned preproduction for Q’Viva began back in April of 2011.
Ok, squashing the possible nasty thought of this being a publicity stunt, we now have to take a look at their beautiful and above all, innocent children as they are the ones to suffer. Jennifer stated this was the hardest decision she has ever had to make. One that broke her heart into a thousand pieces.
We genuinely feel sad and know from personal experience how Jennifer feels and yes, when small innocent hearts are involved it sends waves of damage throughout the entire family and out into their outer core of family members and friends. Grand parents, best friends, school mates etc…. are greatly effected and feel the damage of self centered choices. As Emme & Max (3) grow up, they will be shuffled back and forth between multiple houses. Their “new reality” decided for them without allowing them to have their own voice in the matter, obviously due to their young age.
So many children these days are placed in this horrible “new reality” which makes us recall a statement Chris Rock once said, “When you cheat on your wife, you cheat on your children…bottom line.” We couldn’t agree with him more.
Frankly, the news did come as a shock to most as there were no apparent signs of angst within the relationship.
Regardless of tabloid reports and constant speculation on Marc’s infidelity, we wish nothing but peace and integrity for Jennifer (42) and her beautiful twins going forward. She is an incredible role modal and inspiration for women everywhere and of course she is and always will be one fierce Mom In The Mix.
We spent a beautiful afternoon at the 2011 GBK MTV Movie Awards Luxury Lifestyle Lounge located at SLS Hotel in Hollywood. Did you know Chaka Kahn is also a very talented painter? Candace Cameron Bure’s (Full House) Summer Must Have is something we ALL should use…sun screen, AnnaLynne McCord (90210) feels her true self is with messy hair, no make up and building houses with St Bernard Project for Katrina survivors, Brandi Glanville (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) loves to cook for her two kids AND Steve-O (Jack Ass Series) would love to adopt!!! WOW! Who knew?!?!
Powerhouse MOM and author, J.K. Rowling has done it again!!
For those of you who are just as guilty of loving and needing her Potter “fix” as much as your kids do,
Pottermore will now provide yet another way to sit down and completely yourself in the world of Harry and Hogwarts.
J.K. stated it as being “A free website that builds an exciting online experience around the reading of the Harry Potter books.”
Pottermore officially launches in October, but beginning July 31, one million registered subscribers will be able to find out more details about entering the site early. Rowling also announced Thursday that the seven Harry Potter novels will be available exclusively on Pottermore as eBooks beginning in October.
“It is my view you can’t hold back progress,” she said of the decision to put them online.
“Ebooks are here and here to stay. Later than a lot of people, I for the first time downloaded ebooks and it’s miraculous for travel and for children in particular. I feel great about taking Harry into this new medium.”
(Rowling did squelch however, rumors that she’s working on an eight sequel.)
In fact she added, “I do have closure with Harry and I have no plans to write another novel. I’m pretty sure I’m done on the novel front…But it was fun while it lasted.”
Bottom line, she hopes the site will encourage more young fans to read her book so it was important for her to keep the reading element as the primary focus for her fans as they explore Pottermore.
Staying true to her immense commitment to her Potter Series phenomenon, (her Harry Potter books have sold more than 400 million copies worldwide), she was involved with every visual aspect on Pottermore.

We here at Momz In The Mix, had the extraordinary privilege of attending the release party of Jennifer Lopez’s new album “Love?” and if you thought J.LO was gorgeous on television we can tell you that she is no less than stunning in person.
J LO sexy, stunning and fierce in black!
The event was held at the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Blvd and gave fans the once in a lifetime chance to meet their idol, not to mention be some of the first to hear the music off of her incredible new album. In fact, some of the fans of Ms Jenny From the Block we spoke with were so excited to meet the fashionista, they began lining up a day prior to the actual event.
Although her music was fantastic and one could easily get caught dropping it on the floor while listening to it, the most incredible part of the event was that Jennifer Lopez showed what an incredible and loving human being she just is.
Jennifer, who is the mother of two, took the time to speak with as many fans as she could and she was beyond gracious and kind throughout the entire evening.
But before the party really started poppin’, Jennifer generously donated her beautiful dress worn in her “On the Floor” video to the memorabilia collection at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Needless to say Jennifer Lopez is incredible Mom In The Mix who is taking the world by storm. We love you Jennifer!!!

Recently crowned “Most Beautiful” person of 2011 by People Magazine, this incredible Momz In The Mix, (and of course our American Idol judge), Jennifer Lopez really has it going on!

Call her JLO, Jenny From the Block, Jennifer Lopez, or Mrs Marc Anthony, this mother of two is ruling the pop culture world. Since joining American Idol as a judge the show has really made a substantial turn around. If for nothing else people want to see Jennifer’s hot new look each week (we certainly do) ironically, Jennifer was just quoted saying, “I’m at my happiest when I’m just able to touch my face, rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not have to worry about messing it up! It’s so much better.”
Being one hot American Idol judge and constantly looking fierce are not the only things going on in this diva’s life. Jennifer, 41, also has a hit single out now called “On the Floor” and may just be starting her very own reality show.
