It starts out with a single glue gun and rubber stamps, then your own tools-complete with your 15 piece drill bit kit. Fast forward to today and if you could peek into my garage you'd find Martha Stewart standing there and whispering "It's a Good Thing!"
Ever since I can remember, I was always hot gluing something or shouting out "I'll do it!" and then organizing a party for whatever reason, wherever possible. Making memories is most definitely my drug of choice!
So with that said, I'm so excited and honored to have you here with me! I hope to encourage and inspire you to create incredible moments with unique and most importantly low cost ideas. Each month I'll post a new event, tip or creative idea and take you step-by-step through the process so you too, will be able to build beautiful memories!
So put down your margarita (just for a minute) and pick up your hammer because ready or not..here we go!

When it comes to birthday parties…the sky is the limit for themes and activities.
This year, I built her party around one of her all time favorite movies -Little Women.
So, with my long list of Things To Do, I made my way to my local Target (your safest bet for your one stop shopping destination), to purchase as many themed details as possible, including our table’s centerpieces which included felt hats, lace gloves, pastel dyed doilies and porcelain tea cups.

To ensure this to be a day to remember, I pulled a scene from Little Women, (making sure it had 7 different characters all in the same scene) and sent everyone their lines ahead of time so they would be off page. Set up an old wooden platform in our yard’s corner, hung red velvet curtains, rented wardrobe to enhance the experience and Wa La…instant theatrical performance!!!

As summer’s end draws near -
(seriously?)
I mean didn’t we just pack up desks and pull out of school parking lots!?
Well, I decided to take one last opportunity to create a fun afternoon with my two kids by modernizing (if you will) the ol’ lemonade stand. Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a sweet and simple stand just like the rest of us….

However, I decided to kick it up a notch by implementing some organic snack selections, gave our “table” some well deserved beauty and of course involved the Wee Ones! As my daughter calls me “Vintage”- – I’ll leave you with “Lights please & roll camera!”
I’d love to hear about your 2010 Summer Memories!
Call it our Momz In The Mix “What I Did On My Summer Vacation” essay.

If I were to ask you which foods do you think of, when I say “all American” menu, I bet hot dogs and apple pie would be at the top of your list, right!?
Well, how about switching it up a bit and shouting PIZZA!
Why not!?! That’s what I thought of this Fourth of July!
Watch how I got the WHOLE family involved…(including Gromma Allie) and used fresh, organic ingredients. We even made our dough from scratch!
